One on one music lessons help students learn proper technique and theory fundamentals as well as good practice habits to ensure that their music training goes beyond simply learning a song. Arioso provides a fun, family friendly environment for all music lessons with a stress free, passion driven teaching style. Above all else we believe in confidence building and positive reinforcements! No 2 musicians are the same and rather than focusing on what you can't do, we focus on what you can do and build you up from there!
We accept students of all ages, on average a good age to start is 5, however please keep in mind the beginning age depends on each individual student and we do not turn any students away just because of their age. Some students may start as young as 2, some may not be ready for private music lessons until they are a bit older around 8 or 10. To determine if your child is ready you may ask yourself the following questions:
- Is my child genuinely interested in the instrument enough to focus their attention on it for 30 minute increments?
- Is my child genuinely interested in the instrument enough to commit to at least 1 full year of lessons?
- Does my child have difficulty sitting still for more than 15 minutes?
- Is my child able to handle the responsibility of consistent at home practice?
If you answered yes to all of these questions, then your child is ready for private music lessons! If you are unsure we can always evaluate them and if they are not yet ready for private music lessons we would suggest starting in a group class instead.
